Chalkboards are small, private groups for training together. You can only join one by invite, and only members of a board see what's posted there. These rules apply to everything you post, react to or share on Chalkboard.

Who Chalkboard is for

Chalkboard is for people 13 and older. Before any social feature loads, Chalky asks you to confirm your age, and anyone under 13 cannot use Chalkboard.

Be a good training partner

Cheer people on, give honest feedback kindly, and respect that everyone trains at their own level. Banter is fine; making someone feel unwelcome is not.

No harassment, hate or threats

Don't bully, harass or single anyone out. No hate based on who someone is, and no threats of violence, even as a joke.

Keep it safe

No sexual content, and nothing that sexualizes, grooms or endangers a minor. Never ask anyone for photos of themselves.

Don't encourage self-harm, disordered eating or dangerous training, and don't offer or sell drugs, steroids or other controlled substances.

Text only, no outside links

Chalkboard supports text, reactions and Chalky's own cards (workouts, plans, Form Check scores and achievements). Photos, videos and files can't be posted, and avatars are Chalky's illustrations.

Links are refused, except links to chalky-app.com and Chalky's own app links. Don't try to get around this, for example by spelling a link out.

Respect privacy

Don't post anyone's contact details, address, private messages or other personal information. Share only your own training.

Be yourself

Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't use a Chalkboard for spam, scams, advertising or selling.

Reporting and blocking

Press and hold any message to report it or block its sender. You can also report a profile or a whole board. Reports go to Chalky's moderators, never to board admins, and the person you report is never told who reported them.

Blocking hides the two of you from each other in every Chalkboard.

We aim to review every report within 24 hours, and we look at reports about a child's safety or a threat of violence first.

What happens when rules are broken

Everything you write is checked by automated moderation before anyone else can see it, and content that breaks these rules is refused.

Chalky may remove content, limit or suspend someone's access, close a board, or close an account. Serious violations, such as anything that endangers a child, lead to immediate removal. Board owners and admins can also remove messages and remove or ban members from their board.

Child safety and the law

We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement as the law requires.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Intimate images

Never share, or threaten to share, intimate images of anyone. If an intimate image of you has been shared through Chalky without your consent, email sia@chalky-app.com with the subject "Intimate image removal", identify the content and confirm it depicts you. We remove it within 48 hours of a valid request.

Questions, safety concerns and appeals: sia@chalky-app.com. If we removed your content or limited your access and you think we got it wrong, write to us within 30 days and a person will look again.
